Elizabeth Wilkinson is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of St. Thomas, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research integrates indigenous literature, feminism, and sports. She holds a PhD in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, alongside certifications in Women and Gender Studies, and Master's degrees in Education and English from Penn State and Virginia Tech.
Her expertise spans women and sports, Native American environmental literature, and ecofeminism. Current research includes a book project combining memoir with feminist sports history and an article on 19th-20th century female athletes and suffrage. She teaches courses on sports literature, Native literatures, and women's studies across English and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies departments.
Wilkinson competed as a DI springboard diver at Penn State and remains active in athletics, participating in the YWCA triathlon. Her work bridges academic rigor with personal passion, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to gender, sport, and environmental activism.
