Clara Jones is Senior Lecturer in Modern Literature at King's College London's English department. Her research examines interwar women writers through political and literary frameworks, with expertise in Virginia Woolf's activism with suffrage organizations. Current projects investigate class, gender and genre in works by Rosamond Lehmann, Ellen Wilkinson, and Sylvia Townsend Warner.
Research focuses on how literary form intersects with socio-political engagement, particularly through mid-status genres. Forthcoming work analyzes women's administrative labor in 20th-century organizations. Teaches courses including 'Activist Texts' and 'Mapping Modernism'. Leads Virginia Woolf walking tours in London.
