Dr. Elizabeth Tenison is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Master's Program Director in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Temple University's College of Public Health. She directs the MPH in Nutrition program and teaches key graduate and undergraduate courses in nutrition science and education.

Dr. Tenison is a registered dietitian with over 25 years of clinical experience in pediatric and neonatal critical care, renal nutrition, neurological impairment, and high-risk maternal nutrition. Her research and teaching focus on medical nutrition therapy, nutritional biochemistry, and nutrition through the lifecycle. She is deeply committed to nutrition education, curriculum development, and public health practice.
Her professional service includes leadership roles in dietetic education and community nutrition. She serves on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels in Salem County, New Jersey, and consults as a dietitian for the organization. She is active in the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB), contributing to the Inaugural SNEB Competency Certificate Work Group and volunteering as an abstract reviewer.

Dr. Tenison has led two ACEND-accredited dietetic programs at the University of Saint Joseph and Rowan University. She holds additional certifications as a Certified Wellness Program Coordinator (Chapman Institute, 2021), Certified Doula (2021), and Servsafe Instructor and Proctor (2020). She advises students in the MPH Nutrition program and contributes to academic governance and curriculum innovation.
She is actively engaged in community-based nutrition initiatives and professional development, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning and public health impact.
