Elizabeth Brogan

Dr. Elizabeth Brogan is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), School of Nursing and Midwifery. With over 21 years of nursing experience specializing in perioperative nursing and 7 years as a nurse educator, she focuses on curriculum development and workplace health promotion for healthcare professionals. Her PhD research developed the 'Start Healthy & Stay Healthy' program to support new graduate nurses in adopting healthy behaviors.

Research interests include nursing workforce well-being, implementation science, and attitudes toward obesity in nursing education. She coordinates perioperative nursing subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and collaborates with Fiji National University on curriculum development.

Teaching & Supervision: Co-supervises a PhD candidate (Mansour Al-Soud) and has supervised an Honours student examining nursing students' weight bias attitudes (Cho Lam Sim, First Class Honours, 2022).

Labs/Teams: Active in UTS Faculty of Health, contributing to interprofessional education initiatives and workplace health promotion research networks.
