Her research interests lie at the intersection of law, society, and material culture in the ancient Mediterranean. She investigates how inscribed documents—such as laws, epitaphs, and legal records—reflect and shape social identities, citizenship, and political organization. Her work often examines the symbolic and functional roles of public inscriptions in Athens and the Roman Empire, as well as the legal status of freedmen and slaves.
Her recent publications, including articles in Hesperia and Journal of Roman Studies, focus on the transmission of knowledge through inscriptions, the origins of Athenian documentary stelae, and slavery in the Dodona lamellae. These works reveal a consistent interest in the materiality of documents, the performance of legal and social status, and the interplay between religious and political institutions.
- Active researcher with recent publications in 2024
- Contributor to major scholarly volumes on federalism, Roman law, and epigraphy
- Reviewer for journals such as Journal of Hellenic Studies and Phoenix
