Elisabeth Noble is a Visiting Professor in Practice at LSE Law School, where she co-teaches courses on FinTech and Digital Finance. She concurrently serves as a Senior Policy Advisor and Team Leader at the European Banking Authority (EBA), focusing on crypto-assets policy, MiCAR implementation, and structural changes in the EU financial sector. Her expertise spans post-crisis regulatory reforms, financial system interconnectedness, and the regulatory perimeter of FinTech.
Previously, she worked at the UK’s finance ministry from 2007–2014, advising on resolution measures and EU regulatory reforms during the 2008/9 financial crisis. She also has private-sector experience. Her research, including a 2025 co-authored BIS Working Paper on non-horizontal mergers involving consumer financial data, bridges regulatory and competitive implications in financial markets.
Teaching contributions include LL4BF (international financial regulation) and short courses. She actively participates in EU and international standard-setter workstreams on FinTech and regulatory frameworks.
