Elisa Rubino

Prof. Elisa Rubino is an Associate Professor of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Salento (Italy), affiliated with the Department of Humanistic Studies. She holds an International Ph.D. from the University of Salento and Universität zu Köln (2009), focusing on Aristotelian studies. Her academic career includes roles as a researcher and grant holder since 2009, culminating in her current position since 2022.

• Research Interests: Medieval philosophy, Aristotelian manuscripts, textual criticism, and the history of medieval science.
• Editorial Roles: Member of the editorial boards of Bulletin de philosophie médiévale and Giornale critico della filosofia italiana.
• Projects: Key participant in national/international initiatives like PRIN 2022 (BELIEVIDENCE), FIRB BiMaPhiT, and the Aristoteles Latinus Project.

Her teaching spans medieval philosophy courses, textual analysis, and interdisciplinary seminars. Notably, she received the Maria Grazia Zerman Prize (2007) for her master’s thesis on Hypatia of Alexandria.
