Prof. Dr. Eline Slagboom is a Professor of Molecular Epidemiology at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), leading the Molecular Epidemiology section within the Department of Biomedical Data Sciences. She chairs the LUMC Medical Research Profile on Ageing and the Dutch Society for Research on Ageing (DUSRA). As Principal Investigator of the Leiden Longevity Study, her work focuses on aging mechanisms and metabolomics. She holds a Fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing and serves on national/international committees including BBMRI-NL and the Welcome Trust.
Research Interests: Molecular mechanisms of aging, longevity determinants, and population-based epidemiological studies. Her lab integrates genomic, metabolomic, and clinical data to understand healthy aging processes.
