Elin Sandertun Røed is a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. She is part of the Section for Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Biosciences, focusing on how prescription drug use influences the gut microbiome and colorectal cancer (CRC) risk within the CRCbiome project. Her research integrates computational biology and bioinformatics to investigate interactions between lifestyle, gut microbiome, and CRC prevention.
Elin has taught courses such as FARM2140 – Pharmaceutical Microbiology and FARM1150 – Pharmaceutical Based Biochemistry. She is affiliated with the Rounge Group and contributes to projects aimed at enhancing biomarker performance for CRC screening. Her work spans interdisciplinary areas including pharmacology, microbiome analysis, and drug impact studies.
