Elena Ratner

Elena Ratner, MD, MBA, is Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine and Co-Chief of the Section of Gynecologic Oncology. She also serves as Co-Director of the Discovery to Cure program, Director of its Early Ovarian Cancer Detection arm, and Founder/Director of the Sexuality, Intimacy and Menopause (SIMS) survivorship program.

Research Focus

Dr. Ratner’s laboratory develops targeted drugs for ovarian cancer to enable personalized therapy, with an additional emphasis on reversing chemotherapy resistance in ovarian and uterine cancers. Clinically, she specializes in cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer and minimally invasive robotic procedures for gynecologic malignancies and complex benign conditions, including fertility-sparing approaches in young patients.
