Eleanor L. Stevenson

Eleanor L. Stevenson, PhD, RN is an Associate Professor at the Duke University School of Nursing, where she has taught since August 2011. She is affiliated with the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program and instructs courses such as Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family and Nursing Specialty Synthesis. Her clinical background spans high-risk labor and delivery, mother-baby care, and infertility services.

Her research focuses on multidimensional psychological stress in women with IVF-conceived pregnancies and its impact on adverse birth outcomes like preterm birth. She previously worked as a full-time Clinical Nurse Educator at Duke University School of Nursing, mentoring students in maternity and specialty synthesis clinical settings.
