Eleanor Byrne

Dr. Eleanor Byrne is a Senior Lecturer in English and Co-Lead of the MAPS Centre for Migration and Postcolonial Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her research examines colonial legacies, slavery memory, and cross-cultural representation in literature and visual culture. Teaching encompasses critical theory, world literature, and postgraduate writing.

Supervises doctoral research on post-Holocaust literature and leads collaborative projects with cultural institutions on colonial history interpretation. Public engagement includes exhibitions and community workshops on heritage interpretation.
