Dr. Elayne Zorn (deceased 2010) was an Associate Professor of Cultural Anthropology at UCF and Associate Director of the Digital Ethnography Lab. She held a B.F.A. (California College of Arts), M.A. (University of Texas), and Ph.D. (Cornell University, 1997).
Her research examined Andean indigenous adaptation to globalization, specializing in tourism, gender dynamics, crafts commercialization, and digital cultural representation. Fieldwork included extensive work in Bolivia and Peru, particularly Lake Titicaca communities.
She co-directed PeruDigital Project and authored major works like Weaving a Future (2004), analyzing tourism-textile-culture intersections. Her courses spanned Latin American cultures, tourism anthropology, and Inca studies.
