Egil Andreas Fors is a Professor of General Practice and Chief Physician at NTNU, affiliated with the Department of Community Medicine and Nursing within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. He holds dual specialist certifications in General Medicine (1993) and Psychiatry (2009), and is a certified CBT therapist (NFKT, 2004). His academic career includes roles as Senior Physician at the Pain Center, St. Olavs Hospital (2000–2013), and Chief Physician at Flatåsen Medical Center (1994–2005). He earned his Dr. med. from NTNU in 2002, focusing on non-malignant pain and fibromyalgia.
