Said R Beydoun

Said R. Beydoun, MD, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Southern California (Keck Medicine of USC). He serves as Division Chief for Neuromuscular Medicine, Program Director for the ACGME-accredited Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship, and Medical Director of the Certified ALS Treatment Center of Excellence. Dr. Beydoun specializes in neuromuscular disorders, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Myasthenia Gravis, and Peripheral Neuropathy.

Dr. Beydoun’s research focuses on neuromuscular diseases, with emphasis on clinical trials for ALS and Myasthenia Gravis. His work explores immunomodulatory therapies, pharmacokinetics of immunoglobulin administration, and novel diagnostic approaches for CIDP and MMN. He has contributed to guidelines and therapeutic strategies for chronic inflammatory neuropathies.

Recent publications highlight his engagement in platform trials for ALS (e.g., HEALEY ALS) and long-term safety assessments of therapies for generalized myasthenia gravis. His studies address pharmacological interventions, diagnostic challenges in paraproteinemic neuropathies, and clinical applications of updated CIDP guidelines.

As Program Director for the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship, he trains three physicians annually. He advocates for integrated diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in neuromuscular diseases.
