Edwin Walker

Edwin Walker serves as Associate Professor of Art at Millikin University's School of Art & Creative Media, overseeing the Graphic Design major and directing the campus Birks Museum. He co-founded the student-run publishing company 'Bronze Man Books' and established the nationally recognized Prairie Art and Architecture Conference.

His research centers on architectural aesthetics and public space design, with expertise spanning Graphic Design, Art History, and Decorative Arts. Walker has curated major exhibits including the Alphonso Iannelli retrospective and authored publications on regional artists Frederick Oakes Sylvester and Robert Marshall Root.

As a Professional Fine Art and Antiques Appraiser accredited by the International Society of Appraisers since 1998, he specializes in institutional/estate appraisals. He actively contributes to community organizations through board service at the Decatur Area Arts Council and Macon County History Museum.

Professor Walker mentors Graphic Design students through core coursework and the 'Art of Publishing' class, providing hands-on experience via 'Bronze Man Books' and fostering professional development in design practice.
