Edward Spence

Edward Spence is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Charles Sturt University’s School of Social Work and Arts, an Honorary Associate at the Department of Philosophy, University of Sydney, and a Senior Research Fellow at the 4TU.Centre for Ethics and Technology, Netherlands. His work bridges Philosophy and Ethics of Technology, Communication and Media Ethics, and Stoic Wisdom.

His research explores the ethical implications of AI, digital media, and public philosophy. Notable publications include Stoic Philosophy and the Control Problem of AI and Media Corruption in the Information Age. His Philosophy Plays project uses drama to communicate ethics at festivals in Australia and the USA, including performances at the Greek Festival of Sydney (2023–2018).
