Edward Shigley

Edward Shigley is an Associate Professor of Theology and Ministry at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), serving as Director of the Kern Mentoring Program – a pioneering pastoral training initiative integrating mentoring, spiritual formation, leadership development, and practical ministry experience. He also leads the Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams at IWU, where the women’s team holds a 25-year Crossroads League Championship streak and consistent NAIA National Tournament participation. As founder and President of Doulos Leadership Group, he consults and coaches Christian organizations nationally and internationally since 2007.

Leadership & Ministries: With 30+ years in ministry, Eddy speaks globally on leadership, spiritual formation, and biblical family dynamics. He and his wife Esther (married 28+ years) co-lead marriage/parenting conferences, emphasizing raising children to love Jesus. Their seven children (ages 14–24) reflect this family commitment.

Coaching Legacy: The IWU women’s tennis team has reached the NAIA Elite 8 twice under his mentorship, while the men’s team aims to establish new records under his leadership.
