Edgar Fernando Pais Nave

Edgar Fernando Pais Nave serves as a Researcher at the Research Center for Business Sciences (NECE) and Senior Technician at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), where he leads the Technology Transfer, Innovation and Intellectual Property Sector (GAIID) and supports research projects through the Research and Project Support Sector (AIP).

His work centers on business economics and innovation ecosystems, with specific expertise in technology transfer processes, intellectual property management, and research commercialization strategies. These interests directly align with his operational roles in bridging academic research and industry applications at UBI.

He was recognized in 2023 as part of the UBI research team receiving an award at the XXV Luso-Spanish Seminar on Business Economics.

As head of GAIID, Nave oversees the university's intellectual property portfolio and technology transfer initiatives while coordinating research support services through AIP, significantly contributing to UBI's innovation infrastructure.
