Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger is a University Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien), leading the Institute for Gender and Diversity in Organizations. She holds a PhD in Technical Sciences and honorary doctorates from international institutions. Her research focuses on gender studies, organizational diversity, sports management, and technology's societal impact. She has held visiting professorships at McGill University, LSE, and others. Currently serving as Chairwoman of the Wien Museum Supervisory Board and on numerous international advisory boards, she has received prestigious awards including the Grand Decoration of Honour in Gold for Services to the Republic of Austria (2024). Her work bridges academia and practice, addressing topics like fan culture dynamics, gender equality, and leadership in diverse environments.
