Ed Pollock

Ed Pollock serves as Principal Lecturer and Deputy Head of Policing and Probation at Sheffield Hallam University's College of Social Sciences and Arts. His expertise spans policing reforms, criminal justice policy, and correctional system analysis.

He teaches across undergraduate, graduate diploma, and degree apprenticeship programs in criminology and policing. Core modules include Contemporary Policing and Criminal Justice, Policing in the Modern Age, and Global Threats and Penal Policy. Since 2003, he has been a member of the Independent Monitoring Board for Prisons, currently chairing his local board and contributing to national training initiatives.
