Ed Daly

Ed Daly is a Lecturer in the Department of Sport, Exercise & Nutrition at Atlantic Technological University, and serves as Principal Investigator at both the Irish Concussion Research Centre (ICRC) and the Medical and Engineering Technologies Gateway (MET). His research focuses on concussion management, sport-related injuries, and psychological recovery, with a particular emphasis on Gaelic games and athlete welfare. He has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.

His work explores challenges in implementing injury prevention strategies, the need for unified concussion guidelines in Ireland, and athlete perspectives on injury recognition. Collaborations include cross-disciplinary teams addressing sport policy and healthcare integration in amateur sports.
