ELISA MARIA RUIZ NAVAS

Dr. Elisa Maria Ruiz Navas is a Full Professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid's College of Engineering, where she leads research in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering. She directs the Powder Technology research group at the Álvaro Alonso Barba Institute of Chemistry and Materials Technology.

Her research focuses on advanced materials processing technologies, including powder metallurgy techniques, additive manufacturing processes like WAAM and CEM, and sustainable materials design. She investigates titanium alloys, aluminum-lithium systems, and composite materials for applications in aerospace, energy, and biomedical sectors. Her work emphasizes microstructure-property relationships and manufacturing optimization.

Professor Ruiz Navas has led numerous research projects funded by national and European agencies including AGENCIA ESTATAL DE INVESTIGACION and EUROPEAN COMMISSION RESEARCH EXECUTIVE AGENCY. Current projects focus on inorganic composite processing and material biocompatibility assessment.
