Duncan Craig

Professor Duncan Craig is a faculty member in the Faculty of Science at the University of Bath. His research focuses on drug delivery systems using nanofabrication techniques, including nanogels, electrospun systems for taste masking and ocular delivery, and nanocrystals to enhance oral absorption. He leads collaborations with chemical engineers, molecular biologists, and analytical chemists. As director of DQMC Solutions (consultancy) and Gustoceutics (biosensor-based taste assessment), he bridges academic research and industry applications.

He is Principal Investigator of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council-funded project 'Fully Automated Platforms for Drug Nanocrystals Manufacturing via Continuous-Flow, Data-Driven Antisolvent Crystallization' (2023-2025). His recent work emphasizes machine learning-guided nanoparticle synthesis, magnetic hyperthermia nanoparticles, and microneedle drug delivery systems for ocular applications.
