Dr. Duckhee Shin is affiliated with the Department of English at Millersville University, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in American Literature and specializes in Early American literature up to 1860, Religion and Literature, and Contemporary American ethnic literature. His research interests also extend to Multiculturalism, Ethnic Studies, Cultural Studies, and Asian-American Studies.
He has served on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Eighteenth Century English Literature since 2006 and as a specialist reader for MELUS since 2003. His publications span topics such as intergenerational conflicts in ethnic literature, language and identity in contemporary fiction, and mystical spirituality in early American poetry.
Dr. Shin actively advises the Asian-Society of Millersville University and teaches courses including Early American Literature Surveys, Contemporary Ethnic Literature, and Advanced Composition. He is passionate about multiculturalism and its intersections with literary studies.
