Drew Fagan is a Professor at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, affiliated with the Centre for European and Eurasian Studies. He co-directs the Ontario 360 policy initiative and serves as a special advisor to the Infrastructure Institute at the School of Cities. With over 12 years in government leadership, he previously held roles as Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Tourism, Culture and Sport in Ontario (including managing the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games), and as an Assistant Deputy Minister in Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
His professional experience bridges academia and public service, including a decade at The Globe and Mail in roles like Washington correspondent and editorial page editor. He advises McMillan Vantage Policy Group and sits on boards such as Waterfront Toronto and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
