Douglas Daley is Associate Professor and Director of Analytical & Technical Services at SUNY ESF, specializing in ecological engineering and sustainable waste management.
His research develops green infrastructure solutions including willow-based landfill covers, green roofs, and stormwater biofiltration systems. Current projects optimize composting for non-recyclable paper and investigate biofiltration media for pollutant removal.
Daley teaches courses in solid waste engineering, project management, and environmental soil physics. Awarded SUNY Chancellor's Excellence in Teaching (2015) and ESF Exceptional Achievement in Teaching (2019).
