Doug Swanson is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. He also holds affiliations with Athletics and the Pitt News. Prior to joining Pitt in 2016, he taught at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of North Texas. Swanson is a veteran investigative reporter and editor with significant publishing achievements, including five novels and two non-fiction books.
