Dorian Petit

Dorian Petit is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France (UPHF), where he has been a lecturer and researcher since 2004. Affiliated with the Laboratory of Automation, Mechanics and Industrial Computer Science (LAMIH UMR CNRS 8201), he teaches at the University Institute of Technology (IUT) and currently serves as Vice-President of the university's Training and Student Life Council since October 2024.

His research focuses on formal modeling and development quality applied to land transportation systems, spanning formal methods, software engineering, and intelligent transportation. This interdisciplinary work bridges computer science with real-world transportation challenges, emphasizing rigorous development processes and system reliability through international journal publications.

Petit has held significant administrative leadership roles including Head of the IUT Computer Science Department (2008-2011), Director of the IUT Continuing Education Center (2016-2021), and Director of the Continuing Education and Apprenticeship Business Relations Department (2021-2024). He served on the National University Council (CNU) Section 27 from 2012-2015 and 2016-2019 as 2nd Vice-President, contributing to national teacher-researcher promotion procedures while advancing institutional educational frameworks.
