Dr. Dora Osborne is a Senior Lecturer in German at the University of St Andrews and affiliated with the German Centre for Contemporary Art. Her research focuses on legacies of violence, particularly National Socialism and the Holocaust, in contemporary German and Austrian culture, spanning literature, film, and visual culture. She has authored two monographs: Traces of Trauma in W. G. Sebald and Christoph Ransmayr (2013) and What Remains: the Post-Holocaust Archive in German Memory Culture (2020).

Her recent work explores intersections of autofiction, memory, and archival practices. She supervises PhD projects on post-1945 German/Austrian literature, film, and interdisciplinary topics.
