Dr. Dora Elizabeth Osborne is a Senior Lecturer in German at the University of St Andrews' School of Modern Languages. She specializes in legacies of violence (particularly National Socialism and the Holocaust) in German and Austrian culture, with a focus on literature, film, and memorial practices. Her current research explores Animal Studies and posthuman theory through taxidermy and fur in cultural works. She teaches German language/culture at all levels and offers Honours modules on post-wall cinema, Holocaust memory, and animals in literature/film.
