Dominic Simpson is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University’s Nursing Midwifery and Health Department, serving as Faculty Lead for Employability. His strategic role focuses on enhancing graduate career readiness in healthcare. He joined in 2020 after clinical nursing experience in emergency medicine, acute care, and critical care across the North East of England. Currently completing a PhD by publication, his research emphasizes patient safety, safe staffing, and organizational culture in healthcare settings.
Education: PGCert in Teaching & Learning (2017).
Research Interests: Patient safety, human factors, simulation-based education, and organizational culture. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through contributions to healthcare education and evidence-based practice.
