Dirk S. Denison

Dirk S. Denison is a Professor and Director of the MCHAP (Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize) at the College of Architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). He holds a B.ARCH. and M.B.A. from IIT and an M.ARCH. from Harvard Graduate School of Design. His expertise includes Housing, Community-based Design, and Campus Planning, with a focus on historic preservation and modernist architecture. Denison leads Dirk Denison Architects and has been pivotal in projects like the $70M restoration of Mies van der Rohe-designed dormitories at IIT, blending preservation with contemporary needs.
