Dina Heshmat is an Associate Professor of Modern and Contemporary Arabic Literature at The American University in Cairo (AUC), affiliated with the Sheikh Hassan Abbas Sharbatly Department of Arab and Islamic Civilizations. She joined AUC in 2013 after teaching at Leiden University (2009-2013).
