Dina Barbian

Dina Barbian is a Researcher at the Chair of Information Systems I, Innovation and Value Creation under Prof. Dr. Möslein at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. With over two decades of experience since 1998, her work spans information systems, sustainable development, and grand challenges.

• Education: Master's in Industrial Engineering and Management (Plastics Technology) from University of Paderborn; Doctorate in Environmental Economics from University of Kaiserslautern (2000).
• Research Focus: Sustainable Development, Forecasting Models, Public Accounts for Citizens, Grand Challenges in IS, and Macroeconomics.

Her publications analyze Industry 4.0 and its sustainability implications, cyber-physical systems, waste management, and systemic risks in global networks. She has lectured as a Visiting Professor at Aarhus Summer University (2011–2013) and conducted workshops at the University of Sofia (2014).
