Dimitrios Askounis

Professor Dimitrios Askounis is a faculty member at the Department of Electrical Industrial Devices and Decision Systems, National Technical University of Greece. With over 35 years of experience, his expertise spans decision support systems, e-government, and machine learning. He has supervised 15 doctoral and numerous diploma theses.

• Education: PhD (1991) and Diploma (1986) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from NTUA.

Research focuses on systems analysis, production systems management, enterprise modeling, and energy management. He has led numerous EU projects (FP7, Horizon2020) and published over 200 papers.

Teaches 5 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate courses, including entrepreneurship, decision games, and AI-driven decision support systems.
