Dimitri Frischmann

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Dimitri Frischmann is a lab head at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Weihenstephan campus and a full professor in bioinformatics. His career spans prestigious institutions including the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the Munich Information Center for Protein Sequences (MIPS).

• Education: M.S. in Electrophysics (St. Petersburg, Russia, 1984), Ph.D. in Biochemistry (St. Petersburg, 1991)

Research interests include genome analysis, viral bioinformatics, protein interaction prediction, disease informatics, protein structure modeling, and mRNA evolution.
