Diane Reed

Dr. Diane Reed is an Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership Program at St. John Fisher University's Ralph C. Wilson Jr. School of Education. She previously served as Superintendent of the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District for 14 years, leading it to national recognition for academic excellence and innovative programs. Her expertise spans leadership resilience, strategic planning, and educational technology integration.

Education: Ed.D. and M.A. in Education from the University of Rochester; B.A. from Roberts Wesleyan College.

Research Interests: Dr. Reed focuses on leadership resilience in turbulent environments, gender dynamics in educational administration, and strategies for fostering school-community partnerships. She co-developed the Leader Resilience Profile® instrument and authored Resilient Leadership for Turbulent Times, emphasizing adaptive leadership in crises.

Awards: 2005 NYSCATE Superintendent of the Year in Technology; 2006 NYSCOSS Appreciation Award. Her leadership guided HF-L to top national rankings and state recognition for student achievement and equity.

Teaching & Advising: Teaches core courses in the Master's and Doctoral programs at St. John Fisher, including leadership collaboration, strategic planning, and accountability. Advises doctoral candidates through dissertation committees.

Consulting & Leadership: Serves as an educational consultant nationally and internationally, specializing in leadership development and strategic planning. Active in professional organizations like AASA and NYSCOSS, she chairs committees and presents at conferences.
