Di Buono Maria Pia

Dr. Maria Pia Di Buono is a Researcher in Modern Language Teaching (L-LIN/02) at the University of Naples 'L'Orientale', where she teaches General Translation Studies and Language Technologies. She directs the UNIOR NLP Research Group and co-founded Dahlia srl, the university's first spin-off focused on NLP and AI solutions.

Her research spans natural language processing, machine translation, semantic representation, and linguistic resource creation. Recent publications focus on gender representation in political discourse, LLM evaluation for idiomatic translation, and MWE processing for medical domains.
