Desiree Sabatini

Desiree Sabatini is an Associate Professor at Link Campus University in Rome, Italy. Her research focuses on the intersection of digital technologies and performing arts, particularly in areas such as theater history, audiovisual documentation, and the preservation of theatrical heritage. She is also deeply engaged in exploring contemporary theater practices in unconventional cultural spaces.

Her research interests include:

• Digital restoration of historical audiovisual documents
• Creation and curation of digital archives for theatrical memory
• Interdisciplinary methodologies bridging technology and theater studies
• Theoretical and practical challenges of staging performances in non-traditional venues

She currently serves as the Rector's Delegate for Gender Issues and Learning Disorders, as well as President of the Guarantee Committee (CUG). Additionally, Sabatini coordinates the CITY OPEN MUSEUM (C.O.M.) research group and contributes to projects like I_PAD Italian Performance Archive in Digital.
