Dermot McCarthy

Dr Dermot McCarthy is a Professor at Bournemouth University, leading the Bournemouth Health Economics Research Unit (BHERU). His research focuses on healthcare policy analysis, health technology assessment, and public sector economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Limerick (2008) and has over 15 years of academic and policy-oriented experience.

His work emphasizes economic modeling to improve healthcare systems efficiency, supported by collaborations with regional medical device companies and healthcare providers.
