Denys Kovalenko

Denys Kovalenko serves as a Lecturer at the Evening School of Saarland University of Arts and Design (HBKsaar), specializing in comic drawing instruction since the winter semester of 2024/25. Concurrently, he holds a position at the City Planning Office of Saarbrücken, where he has been employed since June 2020, contributing to urban development projects.

His academic journey began at the State Construction Academy in Odessa, Ukraine, where he earned a degree in Architectural Specialist after studying from 1999 to 2005. He furthered his education by completing a Master of Arts in Architecture at Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw saar) between October 2017 and March 2020. Prior to his current roles, Kovalenko gained professional experience as an employee at the Dom i Ya architectural firm in Odessa (2005-2007) and worked as a freelance illustrator (2008-2011).
