Denise Earle is a Lecturer in the Department of Sports, Media, and Marketing at South East Technological University (SETU) since 2017. She holds a PhD in Statistics from Maynooth University (2010) along with a BA and MA in Mathematics. Previously, she worked as a Lead Data Analyst at Paddy Power for five years. Her academic leadership includes serving as Programme Director for the BSc (Hons) Digital Marketing with Analytics since 2019. External roles include PhD Co-Supervisor at Atlantic Technological University (2023–present), External Examiner at Technological University of the Shannon (2020–2024), and member of the StudentSurvey.ie Analysis & Impact Group (2020–2021).
Her research focuses on data analytics, statistical education tools, and their applications in sports and marketing. She co-developed the StatsSkills web app, a platform for systematic statistics skill development, highlighted in multiple conference presentations (2023–2024). Key research areas include self-efficacy in learning, deliberate practice frameworks, and performance analysis in Gaelic Football.
Denise organizes workshops on Text & Sentiment Analysis (2025) and Statistical Analysis Support Sessions (2024–2025). Her work bridges statistical methodologies with pedagogical innovation, emphasizing open-access tools and collaborative research.
