Denis Hermann is a Research Fellow at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and serves as the Director of the Center for Research on the Iranian World (CeRMI). He has held significant roles, including Director of the French Institute for Research in Iran (IFRI) and Head of the History Department at the French Institute of Anatolian Studies (IFEA).

His work explores the intersections of theological-political literature, Ulema and missionary activities in Qajar Iran.
