Dr. Dena Kasraian is an Irène Curie Fellow and Assistant Professor in Urbanism and Urban Architecture at TU/e's Built Environment Department. She leads the Digital City Program of the Urban Development Initiative, conducting multidisciplinary research at the intersection of built environments, technology, and human spatial behavior using GIS and statistical analysis.
Education includes BSc in Architectural Engineering (2007), BA in French Literature (2009), MSc in Urbanism (Cum Laude, 2010), and PhD (2017) from TU Delft. Postdoctoral research was conducted at University of Toronto Transportation Research Institute.
Research examines urban development patterns, transport infrastructure impacts, micromobility systems, and decision support through urban digital twins. Projects focus on sustainable mobility, energy-efficient cities, and healthy urban environments.
