Declan Keane

Declan Keane is a Professor of Physics at Kent State University, specializing in experimental high-energy nuclear physics. His research examines conditions resembling the early universe using relativistic heavy-ion collisions at Brookhaven's RHIC facility.

Keane's group studies antimatter nuclei formation and anisotropic flow measurements to understand quark-gluon plasma behavior and phase transitions. Significant discoveries include the first observation of anti-helium-4 and the strange quark-containing antihypernucleus.
