Debra Gregerman is a Lecturer at the University of Arizona’s College of Information Science, with over 20 years of teaching experience across multiple departments. She holds a BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in poetry from the University of Arizona. Her current teaching focuses on Digital Storytelling, while her earlier roles included positions in the English Department (as lecturer, adjunct lecturer, and visiting lecturer) and the Honors College (as assistant professor and lecturer of interdisciplinary arts).
Her research and creative work spans poetry, visual art, and interdisciplinary arts. She has been published in journals like the American Poetry Review and Iowa Review, anthologized in Poetry: The Next Generation, and authored the poetry collection Jealousy and the things you are not (Owl Creek). Her work is part of special collections at Yale University, Smith College, and other institutions.
Gregerman has served as a writing specialist for the Graduate Writing Institute (Writing Skills Improvement Center) and mentors writing and research projects. Her creative practice bridges visual art and literary forms, reflecting her background in painting and poetry.
