Dr. Deborah Popham is the Department Chair and Professor of Voice Education at Arkansas State University's College of Liberal Arts and Communication. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Voice Performance, a Master of Music (M.M.) in Opera Performance, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Voice Performance and English/Philosophy from Arizona State University and the University of Akron respectively.
Her research focuses on American art songs, female composers in art song, voice pedagogy, and vocology. She is affiliated with the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and certified as a vocologist through the National Center for Voice and Speech (NCVS).
