Deborah Murray

Deborah Murray is a Senior Instructor and Assistant Director of the Writing Center in the Department of English at Kansas State University. She holds an M.A. from Kansas State University (1986). Her academic roles include advising graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) and representing the English Department in AHA! Manhattan. She previously directed the Writing Center for many years.

Research and Teaching Interests: Murray specializes in expository writing, British literature, and drama. She also explores creativity in writing and the intersection of literature with bodily experience. Her pedagogical focus emphasizes empowering writers to master complex concepts and build confidence.
