Deborah Masloski

Deborah Masloski is a Professor of Music at Carthage College specializing in piano performance and music education. An acclaimed soloist, she has performed with orchestras including the Chicago Civic Orchestra and Carthage Philharmonic Orchestra, with international appearances across Europe, China, and the United States.

Her academic credentials feature a Bachelor's degree magna cum laude from the University of Northern Colorado (Presidential and Goodbrod Scholarships), a Master's from The Juilliard School, and a Doctorate from Northwestern University where her research examined social/religious influences on piano literature.

Dr. Masloski's research centers on performance practice, music education, and advocacy for underrepresented composers. Her work on Women in Music was presented at the MTNA National Conference, and she organized concerts celebrating women composers from the 16th century to present. She actively explores intersections of arts, religion, and culture through her Tanzania J-term study tour focusing on interfaith dialogue and cultural coexistence.

Dr. Masloski performs as member of the Carthage Trio and has collaborated with ensembles including Testore Trio and Morgana Quartet, working alongside musicians from the Chicago Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, and National Symphony Orchestra Mexico.
